Clematis trichotoma is now in full flower. The plant has stems about 3 m long and are covered in white flowers, the first time I see the plant with so many flowers. Perhaps not that exciting but the flowers has a wonderful scent (for my nose that is).

Exciting for me first time I have seen a photo of this plant. Ton gave me one last year and I planted it in my garden. Over winter all top growth died but in spring new growth started from the ground. It is now growing well but is quite small and will not flower this year.
Also interestingly my C. Accuminata var sikkimensis which I thought had been killed by the winter survived and put on new growth from the old wood. It is now very healthy again, but I think it needs at least 5C to flower which it will not get in the garden.
