Last  year I had a crossing of alternata x buchaniana and this year the crossing alternata x rehderiana has flowers. The flowers are much paler as alternata and the leaves are between alternata and rehderiana.

Extremely interesting Ton, the genetic mix as indicated by the leaves is fascinating!

A very unusual and interesting pair of compatible parents. Nice to see the intermediate form of the leaves.

Ton, that is such a fab photo.  I bought  a alternata plant from Thorncroft, last year, it flowered very well but I think it needed more water over the summer,  I got loads of very crispy leaves. I think I now have a problem, plant is covered in sticky residue, have sprayed with rose clear, removed leaves and pruned, lets hope I have solved the problem!
