Hello, I am new to this forum but hope someone will still be able to help me.

I have an established clematis in garden but am unsure if group 1 or 2 for prunning.  I did think it was in group 1 but am not sure now.

I have included a close up picture taken on 16th Jume last year

It is currently showing very large, green buds all over plant

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi,

Looks very much like a group 2 to me (C. 'Miss Bateman'?).

Definitely not a group 1

Regards

Thanks for help - yes definetely look like a Bateman.

Produces masses of flowers even though i have nver really prunned as thought was group 1.

I wonder if I should leave all my group 2 clematis to own devices as if all flowered like this one it would be great
