Please excuse the ignorance of a beginner, but I have been acquiring a number of young clematis plants recently, mostly labelled, but this one isn't. Can someone tell me what it is, please?

It flowered in April (in the UK) and the flower measures approximately 15cm across.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to learning from the great pool of knowledge here.

Ken,

I think the photo shows Clematis 'Dr Ruppel'.

Best wishes,

Thanks Wim, that's what I thought having consulted the multitude of books I have recently purchased.

After the successful identification of my Dr. Ruppel, could I ask for one more identification, please?

What is this? Its first flower appeared in the last few days and the flower is 11cm across.

Thank you.

Ken
