These are clematis flowers grown  from seed I had from Chris Chadwell under the collection CC6677 . The plant is compact and at present not too vigorous it has put one more growth this year , but flowering well . will have to see how it develops in the future .

The above flowers are from seed collected in the wild by Chris Chadwell , the flowers are the same as my plant of C.chiisanensis but it is still great to grow from seed to see what your are producing it may be some thing new . I think the colour is a bit deeper but that is in the eye of the person looking .
will see what comes next ?

Hi Ron,

This plant is likely to be C. koreana var lutea, it cannot be C. chisanensis as it was not collected from the area in Korea where chisanensis is found. There is now a group of botanists who say that there is no diference between forms of C. koreana and chisanensis and are advocating that all are forms of C. koreana. Magnus Johnson advocates that the only difference between C. koreana and chisanensis is the region that it was collected and that chisanensis has spots on its outer sepals, but forms of koreana have now been collected in the same area in Korea.

Cheers

Roy
