A new Clematis Nursery is presently being set up by Martin Gibbison at Ockley in Surrey. The Gibbison family were previously the owners of Woodcote Park Nursery (The Clematis Centre), which is now operating under new ownership / management.

Situated about 5 miles from Dorking on the A29, they are still in the middle of major work cleaning up and rebuilding the site. The trade side of the business is now almost complete, the retail side will hopefully be ready about March 2007. Over the coming years they plan to build 8 large display gardens for the public to view as many plants as possible in mature growing conditions.

They have almost finished digging over the beds in the walled garden and expect to plant up soon with a large number of Clematis with many unusual and rare varieties.

A large collection of new and rare herbaceous plants are also planned on behalf of the RHS at Wisley. Visitors are welcome, even in the early stages of the work at Ockley, so please give them a call.
